On Sunday 26th June, 11 year old Special Kids in the UK member Poppy Jones achieved a personal ambition by completing the Cardiff Super Sprint Triathlon with her dad Rob. The challenge involved a 400m swim, 10km cycle and 2.5km run in and around Cardiff Bay.

The challenge was quite unique and required the exceptionally talented and dedicated people at the Cerebra Technology Centre and V-TRACK to step in and manufacture a specially designed boat and wheelchair that would allow Poppy to travel safely and comfortably in the water and around the cycle and run elements of the course.

Dad Rob had never competed in a triathlon before, and many Special Kids in the UK members followed his training with great interest and were delighted to hear the news that Rob and Poppy completed the course in a hugely respectable 1 hour and 4 seconds!

Congratulations to Rob and Poppy and to everyone who supported them and made it possible! Your Special Kids family are very proud of you!
